Porto Recatini, Italy – Mondial Suole chose Dow's Enerlyte polyurethane elastomer to make the soles of its iTen range, which is aimed at the sports and leisure footwear market.
Founded in 1978, Mondial Suole is located on the Adriatic Sea in Italy. The company's selection of Dow's Enerlyte polyurethane elastomer is based on its soft touch and durability.
Dow added that the material of the sole is foamed with water, making it more environmentally friendly for other sole materials.
According to Dow Chemical, the material has a composition and morphology that allows customers to develop comfortable and high performance soles.
According to Dow, MondialSuole, located about 200 kilometers east of Rome, made a sandal sole from a polyester-based formula and then expanded into a polyether system. Now both systems are used by the company to mold.
