On June 29, JA Solar announced the supply of all half-chip components for the 6.5MW solar power plant in Namibia, Africa. The plant is the first half-cell battery component project in Namibia and the first application of the Jingao half-chip battery module in large-scale ground power plants.
The project is located in Namibia and is jointly developed by the well-known German developer SunEQ and GILDEMEISTER, Germany's leading new energy solutions provider. GILDEMEISTER is also responsible for the construction of the project. The project is located in a special environment with high temperature and high UV. The reliability of the components has very strict requirements. GILDEMEISTER selects Crystal's high-performance 72-piece half-chip battery components to ensure stable system power generation.
Compared with the conventional battery components, the Jingao half-chip battery module reduces the resistance loss by optimizing the half-chip battery interconnection technology, and increases the battery gap to promote the current boost, which effectively increases the component power. In addition, the Jingao half-chip battery pack has a better temperature coefficient. In the high temperature environment, it has more outstanding power generation advantages, and through BOM optimization, it improves the UV resistance of the components and performs well under high temperature and high UV environment.
Cao Bo, vice president of JA Solar, said, 'As a manufacturer of high-performance photovoltaic products, JA Solar will continue to focus on technological innovation and product quality to meet the diverse needs of global customers and contribute to solving growing energy problems. . '
