Google Opens Its Humanized Duplex AI Test Plan

Google is advancing Duplex, an amazing vocal test software that uses a completely new automated system that can use natural sound instead of a robot to make calls. The search giant said on Wednesday that it has begun publicly testing the software. The software was launched in May to call companies and make appointments. Duplex AI immediately raised questions about ethics and privacy issues using AI assistants for realistic dialogue.

Google said its plan is to conduct public testing and refereeing in the next few weeks through a small group of 'trusted testers' and companies that choose to receive Duplex phones. On Tuesday, Google invited the media to the Oren Hummus store in Mountain View, California. This is a small Israeli restaurant 1.5 miles from its corporate campus. You can see the first live demonstration of the project and try it yourself. Unlike the semi-robot voice assistant we heard today, Duplex AI can imitate human speech. Mode, use verbal such as '呃' and '嗯'. It will pause, extend the pronunciation of the word, just like the pause in the real person's speech.

But this realism is also confusing to people. Critics worry that human intelligent robots can deceive humans to think that he or she is talking to another person. Before Google Engineering vice president Yossi Matias revealed that the company may disclose the Duplex AI demonstration to the outside world. The demo is in real-life conversation with the robot, but Google said it could not commit to this matter. However, after several days of outside criticism, the company made it clear that it would disclose this information into the product.
