China-Canada Internet of Things and Blockchain Industry Development Institute landed in Wuxi

On June 24, the China-Canada Internet of Things and Blockchain Industry Development Research Institute and Wuxi High-tech Zone signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The first branch was established in Wuxi, China to fully advance the application of the Internet of Things and blockchain technology. Chairman of the SDChain Alliance, Richard Zhou, co-chair of the China-Canada Internet of Things and the Blockchain Industry Development Research Institute, signed the agreement on behalf of the Institute. The Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, Li Xiaomin, Secretary of Wuxi Municipal Committee, and Chen Guozhi, Director of the International Trade Department of Ontario, Canada, attended the signing ceremony.

The China-Canada Internet of Things and Blockchain Industry Development Research Institute was established in Toronto, Canada. The first group of newly-established members included the academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Yao Jianzheng, a distinguished professor of the National Thousand Talents Program, Dean Zheng Lirong of the School of Information Management at Fudan University, and the National IoT Basic Standards Working Group. Head of the overall team, Shen Jie, Editor-in-Chief of the ISO/IEC IoT Architecture, and Faud a.Khan, Chairman of the International Standards Organization (ISO/IECSC27) Canada, Academician of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, Professor Zhang Dan of the University of York, Academician of the Canadian Institute of Engineering, Canadian 5G Communication Research Chairman Wang Xian Bin and many other renowned academicians from Canada. The Academy also shoulders two missions of promoting the Internet of Things, demonstrating the application of blockchain and promoting the Internet of Things, and the standardization of blockchain construction. Block chain technology research, fusion innovation, resource matching, application promotion, industrial development and other areas play an important role.

As a national sensor network innovation demonstration area, Wuxi has developed early on in the development of the Internet of Things. It has advanced faster and achieved better results. It has certain discourse power and first-mover advantage in the field of the Internet of Things.
