Patent shows that Microsoft hopes to make USB-C ports thinner through innovation

Microsoft has always wanted to innovate on its own products, but a new patent suggests that the company is also seeking to change the critical connections of many modern devices. Soft recently released a patent shows that Microsoft hopes to make the USB C port thinner. The patent was originally filed on May 22, 2017, and was released on June 21. It includes many diagrams and detailed description of the thinning part of the USB C connection, including the locking mechanism, housing and wiring.

The USB-C connector includes a plug and cable. The USB-C connector includes a single, seamless, continuous slim housing that protects the wire terminals and contacts inside the housing. The housing has a uniform thickness throughout its length. The housing can be a cable. Provides stress relief and provides a beautiful USB-C connector. The connector can include a cover housing located inside the housing and above the wire terminals and contacts.

Ironically, at the time of this patent application, Microsoft's devices did not have a USB C port. This implies that the technology in this patent may never be realized, but it is hoped that the new Surface device that is rumored can use the patent mentioned in this patent. More detailed port.
