The real identity of the long-rumored Z390 chipset actually turned 180 degrees.
According to the latest news held by Benchlife, Intel canceled the 14nm process Z390 chipset, while AMD also canceled the so-called Z490.
At present, the Z370 is based on the 22nm lithography process, but the H310/H370/B360 introduced in early April have all been upgraded to 14nm. However, Digitimes stated in early May that Intel's 14nm production capacity is very tight.
One of the reasons for the 14nm Z390's cancellation of exposure is that Intel has to take care of the production of enterprise-class chipsets such as C246.
However, in this way, things are interesting. The Z370 is the most high-end motherboard in the 8th generation of Core Duo. It will not even connect H310 to USB 3.1 Gen2 and Gigabit Wi-Fi.
Of course, Benchlife mentioned that Intel may acquiesce that motherboard makers purchase USB 3.1 Gen2 masters from ASMedia to Nanqiao, and then push the Z390 to market.
Although this part of the motherboard is indiscriminate, fortunately the processor has not been disturbed, the 8-core 16-threaded new Coffee Lake-S flagship ('i7-8800K'?) will soon be released.
