In the PA6.6 industrial chain, the availability of raw materials is extremely limited, and the overall market is in short supply, causing PA6.6 base resin prices to rise further. As the current situation has not yet eased, price adjustment cannot be avoided.
LANXESS Performance Materials will provide strong support for replacing PA6.6 with PA6 or PBT materials.
Where are Durlington® used?
Dulyton® (PA 6 and PA 66) is a major plastics product line of LANXESS Performance Materials (HPM). In the automotive industry, Dulyton® is increasingly used as a weight loss material. Substituting metals, especially under the hood, requires materials that are resistant to heat, corrosive chemicals, and sustain vibration.
Dulyton® reinforced and non-reinforced series are widely used in connectors for the automotive industry, cable clamps, harness plugs, gears, door handles, mirror housings, oil modules, part of the cooling circuit in the catchment above the radiator , Cooling pipe, thermostat hood, and the perimeter of the vehicle cooling circuit, hollow parts and pipes.
The three Dürrenton® grades, Dulyton® ECO BV 30 H2, ECO BV 35 H2 and ECO PA GF 30 are particularly worth mentioning because they all contain 30% of pre-recycled materials.
