Millet and Ericsson reconcile | Red Rice 6 Series will be available for sale in the Indian market

In 2014, Xiaomi, who had been reported in India for allegedly infringing on Ericsson's patent holdings, subsequently filed a settlement with Xiaomi and deposited a pre-paid amount of Rs. 100 (about NT$50) per device as a court security deposit. Finally, Qualcomm processor products can only be sold in India, and MediaTek processor versions cannot be sold.

However, relevant sources allege that Xiaomi has reached a reconciliation with Ericsson and expects to resume sales of mobile phones equipped with MediaTek processors in the Indian market. This means that the recently released Red Rice 6, Red Rice 6A will be available for sale in the Indian market. Will help millet expand market share in India.

Previously, in the absence of a relatively low cost of the MediaTek model, Xiaomi only used Samsung's Qualcomm processor model to pull Samsung from its first pick in the Indian market. Therefore, if the company is to open MediaTek processor models in the future, Indian market sales, is expected to bring greater market growth.
