Google will abolish the inline installation of Chrome browser extensions, which will prevent users from installing Chrome extensions from third-party websites.
Currently, all newly published published extensions have been banned. Google will block all unofficial channels' extensions on September 12. Even if these extensions are found on other pages, Chrome will Reload to the appropriate official store page.
Google explained that the company found that downloading extensions in the Chrome online app store generally received fewer complaints because users would read the product description and feature list before downloading and would be less likely to uninstall.
