Fully immersed liquid-cooled, oil-cooled heat-dissipating system We've seen it many times before. It's all about direct foaming of a single piece of hardware or the entire system. At the Taipei Computer Show, Gigabyte showed a different play.
Gigabyte placed an aquarium on the stand. The bottom was mineral oil, which was soaked with a Gigabyte card. It was running normally, and the upper level was normal water. There were also several fish swimming inside.
Gigabyte stated that These fish have lived like this for 2 months.
On the back of the fish tank, you can see that Gigabyte did not use the traditional water-cooled pump and heat sink, but instead connected three common air-cooled radiators in parallel, and that they eventually took away heat. This is a very chic way to play.
Now some data centers have been soaking the entire server in the cold night to enhance cooling. Perhaps sometime in the future, your computer will be able to soak in the whole area.
