iMobile Mobile Home June 6th Recently, Qualcomm released the Snapdragon 850 processor for mobile computer platforms at the Taipei Computer Show. Essentially, the Snapdragon 850 is equivalent to an enhanced version of the flagship Snapdragon 845. Its goal is to replace the Xiaolong 835 chip in the full-time interconnection status.
The Snapdragon 850 uses eight Kryo 385 architecture cores (same as the Snapdragon 845), but the maximum frequency is increased to 2.96GHz. According to Qualcomm’s official announcement, the Snapdragon 850 is better than the Snapdragon 835 used in the full-time connected notebooks. In terms of performance, it increased 30%, battery life increased by 20%, and after using the X20 LTE baseband, the peak rate also increased by more than 20%.
At the meeting, Qualcomm also announced that Samsung will be the first OEM to release a Windows 10 notebook equipped with the Xiaolong 850 platform. The time may be around the end of this year.
