Xinhua Semiconductor first exports high purity silicon for integrated circuits

The reporter learned yesterday that after a series of rigorous verification tests, the high-purity silicon material produced by Xinhua Semiconductor Material Technology Co., Ltd., located in Xuzhou, was exported to South Korea in small quantities, and has been supplied to some domestic wafer processing plants in batches. The silicon materials used in Xinhua Semiconductor ICs have reached world-class quality standards. This is the first time that China's polysilicon manufacturers have exported high-purity silicon materials for integrated circuits to the international market.

In November last year, Xinhua Semiconductor officially released its own production of electronic-grade polysilicon products, breaking the overseas technology blockade for many years, and filling the gap in the national integrated circuit industry.

The high-purity silicon material for integrated circuits is a project awarded by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of Ministry of Industry and Technology, and a special subproject of the Ministry of Science and Technology. After being tested at various levels, feedback from many manufacturers has fully achieved world-class electronic-grade polysilicon indicators. During the R&D process, Xinhua After 317 production trials, the semiconductor technology team optimized and improved 629 technologies and equipment, and achieved a major breakthrough with 70% of domestic equipment. Xinhua Semiconductor's first production line has a production capacity of 5,000 tons. After the products are rolled out to the market, domestic companies can be guaranteed. Electronic grade polysilicon will not be out of stock within 3-5 years. In the next two to three years, it will also plan to put on a 5,000-ton production line.
