Yesterday, the reporter learned from the Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau that the Linyi County Zhihong Plastic Recycling Plant and the Startup Plastics Recycling Plant were fined 200,000 yuan and 100,000 yuan, respectively, due to improper operation of pollution control facilities by employees in the production process. People were detained by the County Public Security Bureau for 5 days according to law.
In order to severely crack down on illegal discharge of pollutants, Linyi County started the “Zero Action” campaign on pollution prevention and control since April 10. The County Public Security Bureau and the County Environmental Protection Bureau jointly formed a special enforcement team to focus on the waste gas collection system of the company. The operation status of the facility and the disposal of solid wastes were subjected to surprise inspections. At the Zhihong Plastics Recycling Plant in Qingshan Village, Yuxianzhuang Town, the special enforcement action team found that the employee of the factory Zhu in the case of a screen melting furnace was damaged. The filter was burned open in the open air, the flue gas was burned without the filter smelting furnace, and it was directly discharged into the atmosphere. The law enforcement personnel found that the employee of the factory in the same village had found the same problem in the work.
The Action Team, in conjunction with investigations, imposed severe penalties on Zhu Mou and You Mou, who were suspected of evading supervision of illegal discharge.
Up to now, the Action Team has conducted inspections on 24 enterprises in 12 townships (sub-districts) in the county, and has conducted investigations on four enterprises suspected of abnormally operating pollution control facilities and exceeding standard discharge of pollutants.
