Japan Teijin announced on June 4th that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Teijin Carbon Fiber Co., Ltd.'s new carbon fiber production line broke ground in Greenwood, SC.
The new production line will have an investment of about $600 million and will create about 220 jobs around 2030. This is the largest initial capital investment in the history of the Greenwood plant.
