The National Key R&D Plan Project "Research and Application of Key Technologies for Lightweight Structure of Electric Vehicles" was held in Zibo, Shandong Province in 2018.

On May 30, 2018, the Chinese Society of Automotive Engineers organized the National Key Research and Development Program 'New Energy Vehicles' key special project "Research and Application of Key Technologies for Lightweight Structure of Electric Vehicles" project in Zibo City, Shandong Province in 2018. Zhang Ning, Secretary-General of the Special Secretary and Project Leader, Hou Fushen, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Steam Association and Secretary-General of the Lightweight Alliance attended the meeting.

The meeting was chaired by Secretary-General Zhang Ning, members of the eight project team members, and seven project leaders and major participants from Jilin University, SAIC, JAC, Beijing Automotive, Chery Automobile, SAIC, and China Automobile Association. More than 30 delegates attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the lead units of Topics 1-7 respectively compared the “Questions and Tasks” and detailedly reported on the progress of the project. The completion of the medium-term objectives and the allocation and use of the project funds raised the next phase of the work plan and required project management. Coordination of problems solved by the office. The participating experts combined the research tasks for each topic, conducted questions and assessments on the implementation of the topic, and proposed issues that should be focused on in the follow-up work. The meeting also invited the lead unit of Question 3 to JAC Project management experience sharing.

Experts at the meeting fully affirmed the research progress and achievements of each topic, combined with relevant technological development status and trends, and made specific suggestions for the next phase of the work. The SAIC-China Society, as the lead unit of the project, will work on the next phase of each topic. Out of the deployment.

The implementation period of this project is from July 2016 to December 2020. The work will focus on the following aspects: Newly-structured electric vehicle structure-material-performance integrated multi-objective optimization design; Carbon fiber composite large-scale body structure integrated design, forming And performance evaluation methods; key common technology for forming and application of complex thin-wall die-cast aluminum alloy parts; corrosion-resistant magnesium alloy automotive parts design, forming and evaluation methods; key common technology for forming and application of ultra-high strength steel automotive parts; Connection modeling analysis, fatigue design and performance evaluation methods; construction of a common light-weight technology platform for electric vehicles. The technical achievements achieved by the project will be verified through the application of typical components on five models. The results of this project will be to promote electric vehicles in China. The lightweighting plays an important role and lays a solid foundation for the development of lightweight automotive technology in China.
