On May 25, 2017, the '2016 Tsinghua Friends - Sandvik Coromant Scholarship' award ceremony was held at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tsinghua University. Mr. Duan Yan, General Manager, Sandvik Colamanzhong District, Party Secretary of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tsinghua University Mr. Lu Zhigang, as well as the winning students and teachers attended the award ceremony.

Sandvik Coromant Duan Yan and Secretary Lu Zhigang presented awards to 12 award-winning students and teachers. They expressed their heartfelt congratulations to them. This scholarship program has also innovatively established the award for undergraduates and postgraduates who have outstanding achievements in mechanical studies. 'Employment scholarships' and 'gardener's prize' are used to reward graduates who are employed in the equipment manufacturing industry and teachers who have made outstanding contributions to student employment.
