The new Lexan Margard FHC10 sheet from Saudi Basic Industries can be used for medium-sized glass components and the cost of injection molding is lower
Saudi Basic Industries has introduced a new type of polycarbonate (PC) sheet into its expanding auto glass production line. The design of the Lexan Margard FHC10 meets the strict visibility, strength and wear resistance requirements of the ECE R43. Features a rugged PC base and exceptional optical quality, combined with a unique, hard-coated coating, fully pre-cured. In addition to ECE R43 compliance, Lexan Margard FHC10 sheet allows customers to avoid coating after Operation, and provide a simple, curved glass window design option for automotive OEMs and middle tiers.
'Market analysts predict that the automotive glass industry will experience strong growth due to technological advances in polycarbonate and other materials, as well as continued demand for lighter and lighter components, especially electric vehicles.'
