Although the report portrayed a gloomy prospect for the company, Rubin assured fans that they are still in the Essential series.
The related report made everyone sweat for the fate of the original Essential Phone, but the official Twitter official account clarified that the product will have at least 2 years of software updates and 3 years of security patches.
An Essential spokesperson said: 'Our company is still fully committed to sales and support of Essential Phone. It will continue to be one of the first companies to receive the latest security updates and software fixes. It is also actively developing Android P and a new one. Audio accessories'
