The Fiber Vision Company, a subsidiary of Indurama, headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand, plans to expand its production capacity with a 24,000-ton high-tech bicomponent fiber plant in Covington, Georgia.
Indorama's board of directors has approved the new project, which will be the company's largest production line for the production of a new generation of bicomponent fibers.
Tom Zesia, chief executive of the fiber company, said: 'We recognize that nonwovens, hygienic and industrial market changes are creating the demand for new properties of our fibers. As a pioneer in bicomponent fibers, this expansion will Make FiberVision a world-leading supplier. '
The new production facility will have four two-component production lines for service in the Americas and Europe, which represents part of the worldwide bi-component fiber growth plan.
