Code name Cyclone? The hacker god broke Apple Apple A12/A12X processor

The hackers with ID Longhorn revealed on Twitter that the A12/A12X processors share the Vortex code name, the models are T8020 and T8027 respectively.

Previously, the core code of the A10X/A11 was related to 'wind', such as the former's 'Hurricane' and Zephyr's (zephyr), and the latter's Monsoon (monsoon).

From a scientific definition of wind speed, cyclones are far less like monsoons and hurricanes. I wonder if this signal means that the performance of the A12 series is limited.

This microblog was retweeted by well-known prospect Roland Quandt. At least it proved not to be a word of mouth. At the same time, considering Longhorn himself as the cracker of the Windows ARM BOOT security loophole, it was still authoritative.

According to a report by Bloomberg this week, TSMC has already started production of the A12 chip. Based on the 7nm process, only the process level, 7nm will save 40% over 10nm, and the performance will increase by 20%.

If the A12/A12X is launched at the same time, the former will be used on the new iPhone in autumn, the latter on the new iPad.

Of course, the main point of view of the A12/A12X is both the CPU design and the GPU, because this will be Apple's second-generation self-designed GPU.
