On the morning of May 16, the annual meeting of the 3D Printing Industry Technology Innovation Alliance of Shaanxi Province was held in Xi'an National Academy of Additive Manufacturing. The annual meeting was hosted by the Standing Director, Deputy Chief Engineer Tong Huiping of the Northwest Institute of Nonferrous Metals, and the Department of Science and Technology of the Provincial Department of Industry. A total of more than 80 representatives of responsible comrades and member units of the coalition attended the meeting.
In his speech, the Director of the Industrial Division of Shaanxi Science and Technology Department Bai Chongjun affirmed the achievements of the League in the past year. He hoped that the Alliance will continue to play an organizational and coordinating role and strengthen the integration of industry, university and research. He also said that the Provincial Department of Science and Technology will continue to support the work of the Alliance through projects and other methods. Standing director and deputy secretary-general, Chen Rui, chief engineer of the Provincial Science and Technology Resource Planning Center, summarized the work of the alliance in 2017. Professor Huang Weidong, deputy chairman and secretary-general, arranged and deployed the work of the alliance in 2018, and centered around the Ministry of Science and Technology 2018. The National Key R&D Program 'Additive Manufacturing and Laser Manufacturing' Specialized - Additive Manufacturing Section's 19 tasks and 40 release guidelines were interpreted. Standing Director Qi Lehua read out the list of new affiliates and new members of the Alliance. Xi'an Wang Jing, Vice President of the State Institute of Additive Manufacturing introduced the development of the institute. The meeting also invited the Beijing Bank’s Xi’an Branch to introduce financial services products in response to the financing difficulties of small and micro enterprises within the alliance.
Since its inception, the Shaanxi Provincial 3D Printing Industry Technology Innovation Alliance has coordinated 3D printing technology and industry related resources in the province, promoted the promotion and application of 3D printing technology achievements, and created a 3D printing technology innovation chain, industrial chain and service chain in Shaanxi. In more than four years, the number of alliance members has increased from the initial 32 to the current 84. In 2016, under the leadership of Academician Lu Bingheng, the President of the Alliance, gathered national resources to form the National Institute of Additive Manufacturing in Xi’an and was identified by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as The National Additive Manufacturing and Innovation Center became China's second national manufacturing innovation platform and also represented the nation's leading position in Shaanxi's additive manufacturing industry. The institute now includes Lu Bingheng, Wang Huaming, and seven thousand people. The innovation team of more than 80 people across the country, including professors, has conducted 3D printing research, demonstration and promotion in key applications such as aerospace, biomedicine, and automobile manufacturing. The alliance has opened up a 'Technology R&D center - industry needs are detailed. Sub-cooperation--Industrial Base Incubation's Industrialization Path, Forming a Center (National Additive Manufacturing Innovation) (Heart), Sanji (R&D demonstration and promotion base in Xi'an High-tech Zone, Education and Training Production Base in Gaonan District of Gannan, Xi'an Medical 3D Printing Industry Demonstration Base) is the core of the development pattern of production, research and development. During the 'Thirteenth Five-Year' period, the alliance will cooperate with Shaanxi Province. Organize the implementation of high-end equipment manufacturing, biological tissue manufacturing, manufacture and repair of large-scale precision components, and popular printer manufacturing, and strive to establish a relatively complete regional additive manufacturing technology innovation system and industrial system by 2025. Technology maintains the leading domestic level, and some areas have reached the international advanced level, and the scale of the industry has maintained a leading position in the country.
