AMD II continues to use the AM4 package interface, which is perfectly compatible with the existing 300 series motherboards. At the same time, AMD has also prepared a new 400 series motherboard. The biggest change is to support more powerful dynamic acceleration, as well as free new StoreMI solid/machinery Hard disk hybrid acceleration technology.
However, the 400 series motherboards start with only the high-end X470, but with the Ruilong 7 series, it is still a bit high for the Ruilong 5 series. Next, we will see the new, cheaper B450 motherboard.
The specifications of the B450 motherboard are basically the same as those of the B350. It also supports six PCI-E 2.0, two USB 3.1, two USB 3.0, six USB 2.0, two SATA 6Gbps, and one SATA Express (can be replaced with two SATA 6Gbps or two PCI-E 3.0), SATA/NVMe RAID 0/1/10, also supports full range of overclocking, XFR2 intelligent spread spectrum technology.
At the same time it is the same as the X470. With the second generation of Ruilong, you can additionally support XFR2 Enhanced, Precision Boost Overdrive, to obtain additional acceleration space and performance improvements.
The B450 will not directly phase out the B350, but will continue to coexist for a while, giving users more options.
Now we confirm that ASRock has prepared at least four B450 motherboards. The models are:
- B450 Fatal1ty Gaming K4
- B450 Fatal1ty Gaming-ITX/ac
- B450M Pro4
- B450 Pro4
Unfortunately, there are no renderings, photographs and specifications, but it is clear that The second is the ITX mini-board, and the third is the mATX board.
ASRock B350 motherboard has a total of six, it still lacks the B350M, B350M-HDV upgrade.
