Although mesh WiFi technology enables WiFi products on the Internet to quickly switch the optimal connection mode, allowing networked devices to use network resources in a more streamlined manner, the mesh WiFi products implemented by different brands still have connection switching problems.
Therefore, in order to improve such issues, WiFi Alliance announced that it will use the EasyMesh certification program, which will enable the mesh WiFi products to be designed with a more uniform standard. This will enable different brands of mesh WiFi products to ensure compatible interactive effects.
This certification standard does not need to change the hardware specifications. It only needs to adjust the firmware update contents. Therefore, for the hardware manufacturers, the compatibility effect can be achieved in a simpler manner and it will not affect Brand manufacturers add functionality to their hardware devices.
However, WiFi Alliance also emphasizes that EasyMesh authentication is not a necessary item, but the certified networked devices will be able to be easily selected by consumers through the certification mark, and can easily be compatible with different brands of mesh WiFi products.
