Strategy Analytics' latest release of the IoT module vendor market share research report pointed out that SimCom surpasses Sierra Wireless, Gemalto and Telit Communications, becoming the No. 1 supplier in the top four cellular IoT module suppliers in 2017.
Thanks to China's bicycle sharing ecosystem, SimCom's module shipments in 2017 reached 33 million, an increase of over 100%, ranking first in the world. The top four suppliers (SimCom, Sierra Wireless, Gemalto and Telit) have jointly enhanced Leading this market, together occupying 63% of global cellular IoT module sales in 2017, this proportion was 59% in 2016.
