April HTC Consolidated Revenue NT$ 2.099 Billion | Plunging 55.4%

According to DigiTimes, in April of this year, HTC’s consolidated revenue was NT$ 2.099 billion—monthly revenue hit a new low since 2004, a decrease of 24.2% from the previous quarter and a 55.4% year-on-year decrease.

In the first four months of this year, HTC revenue was NT 10.89 billion yuan, a decrease of 43.4% over the same period of the previous year.

According to media reports, although HTC has already started selling high-end Vive Pro virtual reality heads, this new product will have a significant impact on its revenue growth in June.

HTC plans to release its new flagship model HTC U12+ on May 23, hoping to restore the momentum of smartphone sales growth. Some media have said that the HTC U12+ will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip and four cameras.
