IEK estimates that the output value of Taiwan's IC industry will reach NT$2.550 trillion (US$83.9 billion) in Taiwan in 2018, which is 3.6% higher than in 2017. The output value of the IC design industry was NT$645.5 billion (US$21.2 billion). , Compared with 2017, it grew by 4.6%; IC manufacturing industry was NT$1,340 billion (US$47 billion), which was a 4.5% increase from 2017, of which NT$1.227 billion (US$40.4 billion) was found. , Compared with 2017, it grew by 1.7%. Memory and other manufacturing costs were NT$203 billion (US$6.7 billion), a 25.2% increase over 2017.

In addition, in 2018, the output value of Taiwan's IC packaging industry is estimated to be NT$331 billion (US$10.9 billion), which is 0.6% lower than in 2017; IC testing industry is NT$143.5 billion (US$4.7 billion), which is 0.3% lower than 2017. .

Output value of Taiwan's IC industry from 2014 to 2018 (Source: TSIA, ITRI; 2018/05)

Explanation:

IC industry output = IC design + IC manufacturing + IC packaging + IC testing. IC product output = IC design + memory and other manufacturing. IC manufacturing output = foundry + memory and other manufacturing. 2017 Hua Chia (a subsidiary of Micron) is not included in the calculations of Taiwan's memory and other manufacturing output values. If 2016 does not calculate Huayake's annual production value, then Taiwan's memory and other manufacturing output in 2017 will show more than two percent. As we grow, the output value of Taiwan's IC industry showed a positive growth of 2.6% in 2017. The above output value calculation is based on the company established in Taiwan by the headquarter.
