According to the data organization IDC, shipments of tablet PCs of all manufacturers fell by 11.7% year-on-year in the first quarter of this year. However, this led to the sales of iPads and Huawei's tablets, and the growth in revenue and market share became even more prominent. IDC estimates that Apple sold 9.1 million iPads in the first quarter of 2018, the highest market share in four years. Samsung’s tablet shipments were 5.3 million, which was lower than the same period of last year, but its market share remained at 16.7%; followed by Huawei, Lenovo, and Amazon. The highest increase in shipments came from Huawei, up 13% year-on-year.
