Xiaomi and Hong Kong Changhe Company Fit Group Global Strategy Alliance

Before Ma Yun's Ant Financial Service formed a strategic alliance with Hong Kong Changhe Company. After promoting Alipay HK business in Hong Kong, Ruan Chuan will open a press conference this week and join the global strategic alliance of the Xiaomi Group listed in Hong Kong.

Changhe issued an interview notice to the media and will hold a press conference on May 3rd. There will be an appointment of Huo Jianning, the joint managing director of the Changhe Group, and Wang Xiang, Xiaomi’s senior vice president.

It is understood that the two parties will cooperate in business and will not involve equity transactions for the time being. The Hong Kong Stock Exchange will accept submission of listing applications from companies with different shares of the same stock on April 30. The market estimates that Xiaomi will submit a listing application within this week. According to public information, Wang Xiang joined Xiaomi in 2015. Before that, he served as Senior Vice President of Global Qualcomm and President of Greater China, and worked with Xiaomi on chip supply.

As we all know, Xiaomi’s pre-IPO equity transaction ended last week. The listing application is filed this week as soon as possible, and the strategic deployment in Hong Kong will be launched. The current news is that Xiaomi is preparing to submit an IPO application in Hong Kong. The issuance is expected to raise funds. At least 10 billion U.S. dollars, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and CITIC Securities become its sponsors. This scale of IPO will be Hong Kong's largest ever IPO, and it is also expected to become the world's largest new technology stock this year.
