No fear of sanctions | ZTE applied for dual M-value screen design patents

When ZTE faced the US ban, it was quite noticeable that the ongoing product development did not make any progress. Recently, ZTE applied for a new design patent, which turned out to be a “double M” further than “M”. Words" design.

The State Intellectual Property Office of China recently announced a new ZTE patent. As shown in the figure, at the top of the mobile phone screen is the current popular "M-size (bangs)" design, while the bottom is reserved for hardware buttons. The screen extends on both sides to the bottom to form a W word. This is already the second patent submitted by ZTE on related design. It was registered in September last year. From the perspective of the resources invested, it will introduce products that actually use this design. The opportunity is quite high, but now facing the instability caused by the US ban, it is still unknown whether the product will be launched as scheduled.

"M-letter design" became popular last year. The design of the iPhone X screen was the most controversial. Many people thought that such a design was not beautiful, and added unnecessary trouble to the interface design. Android manufacturers have followed the pace of Apple to launch similarly designed products. If ZTE really launched such a product, could it be welcomed by consumers?
