On April 20th, KBR, headquartered in Houston, completed the ethylene capacity expansion project of Korea Petroleum & Chemical Corporation's Aung San Naphtha Cracking Center in Ulsan, South Korea.
KBR said KPIC's existing ethylene plant capacity has been expanded from 486,000 tons/year to 800,000 tons/year, and the company has provided its own SCORE technology license for this energy expansion project. And patent equipment supply services.
KBR said that the transformation includes the addition of two highly selective SC-1 patented cracking furnaces and target product recovery systems to improve yield, energy and operating performance.
