Samsung Electronics announced that Already using 10nm level process, mass production of 16Gb LPDDR4X memory chips for automotive applications , High-performance, high-efficiency, and at the same time, more tolerant to temperature.
Samsung's previous 20nm class process memory chips have a grade of Automotive Grade 2, which can withstand a temperature change of -40°C and a maximum of 105°C. The latest particle grade upgrade to Automotive Grade 1, the highest temperature can withstand 125 °C test, so it can adapt to a variety of harsh environments.
And even at such high temperatures, new particles can still run 4266MHz At the ultra-high frequency, this is already the highest frequency in the LPDDR4X standard specification. Compared with the previous 20nm-class 8Gb LPDDR4 particle capacity, the speed is also 14% higher than the previous 3733MHz.
In the future, Samsung will also provide 12Gb, 24Gb, 36Gb and other different capacity versions.
In February of this year, Samsung also launched an embedded eUFS flash memory with 256GB capacity, which is also geared to automotive applications. Combined with memory solutions, it can provide more advanced complete storage solutions for applications such as assisted driving, unmanned autopilot, and automotive entertainment.
