Xinghua Bay Offshore Test Wind Farm is located in the southeast of Jiangyin peninsula and northwest of Niutou Mei in Fuqing City, Fujian Province. It is the first high-power offshore wind turbine prototype wind farm with an experimental capacity of more than 5 MW.
The project investment is about 1.47 billion yuan, and the total installed capacity is about 80,000 kilowatts. There are altogether 14 aircraft positions. Currently, 11 units have been installed.
Fuqing Xinghua Bay Prototype Test Wind Farm Project Installation Details
Two Taiwan-built H128-5MW units were successfully connected to the grid for power generation on November 22, 2017. Until now, the two units have been operating stably with an average utilization rate of 99.26%. The average monthly wind speed is 9.12m/s. Next, the cumulative electricity generation was 16684.61MWh, and the average monthly utilization hours was 417h.
2017/12-2018/03 Operating Data of China's Marine H128-5MW Units
China Haizhuang installed an effective offshore wind power solution to ensure the construction progress of the Xinghua Bay project in Fujian. With a super-adapted 5MW offshore wind turbine unit, it delivered a stable and excellent operating performance, fully demonstrating the China Sea. The 5MW design is reliable, the product is credible, and the effectiveness of the entire offshore solution.
At the same time, the offshore wind power route from China's maritime industry also reflects that offshore wind turbines must pass the development path of prototypes to small batches. Only by continuous technological innovation of offshore units can the stability of the operation of offshore units be achieved. This stability is not only to bring investment benefits to the owners, but also to demonstrate China’s national strength and effectively promote global energy transformation.
