DuPont Launches Zytel® HTNFR42G30NH High Performance Polyamide New Product

As a new division of Dow DuPont Specialty Products that provides engineering plastics, elastomers, lubricants, and specialty silicon materials, DuPont Transportation and Advanced Materials will launch at CHINAPLAS in 2018. The new DuPontTM Zytel® HTNFR42G30NH halogen-free flame-retardant high-performance polyamide product. This product is a bio-based material developed for the application of SMT (acronym for Surface Mount Technology) connectors. DuPont is committed to introducing higher performance Bio-based materials to meet increasingly stringent industry standards and requirements. This new halogen-free, flame-retardant, bio-based, high-performance polyamide resin can adapt to the changing trends of the SMT connector market and help customers improve safety. Zytel® HTNFR42G30NH is a 30% glass fiber reinforced, flame retardant high performance polyamide resin developed for connector applications. This new high temperature resistant polyamide (PPA) complements nylon and expensive specialty polymers The performance gap, and ease of processing, its advantages include:

· Better safety: 0.4mm UL 94 V0 flammability rating, excellent fluidity, up to 600V CTI (Relative tracking index).

· More productive: Zytel® HTNFR42G30NH has better reflow performance and higher weld line strength compared to similar products. Connectors molded with Zytel® HTNFR42G30NH also have a SMT reflow temperature of 280°C. No blistering; improved weld line strength also helps reduce breakage. Excellent flow and better weld line strength, provides higher design for multiple pins, fine pitch, low profile, small connectors flexibility.

· Better cost-effectiveness: Continuous forming test results show that the use of Zytel® HTNFR42G30NH can reduce the corrosion of injection molding equipment compared to PA 9T and PA4T series products.
