The Changsha Municipal Government issued the "Changsha City on Accelerating the Development of a New Generation of Artificial Intelligence Industry to Promote National Intelligent Manufacturing CITIC Construction" and the "Changsha Intelligent Network Alliance Automobile Road Test Management Implementation Regulations (Trial)".
According to the newly released policy, the government supports technology areas including image and speech recognition. It also targets more areas of today's artificial intelligence applications, including smart robots, autonomous driving, and smart homes. policy.
In the second regulation, it is pointed out that Changsha is currently the first city in China to issue relevant rules. Nowadays, autopilot has come to China and tested in multiple cities. In this regard, Changsha’s test area will apply gradually. It is understood that this test area is located in the Xiangjiang New District, Hunan Province, and has different test sites such as highways, urban roads, roads in the village, and off-road road conditions, as well as R&D management and debugging areas. The overall test area mileage reaches 12 kilometers. Among them, the length of highway environment is 3.6 kilometers.
It is understood that Changsha's smart car test area covers a total area of 1,232 acres, and plans to open the test at the end of June.
