Tesla Pushes Mechanic Training Program: Focus on Electric Vehicles | Can Join After Graduation

At the morning of March 27, Beijing time, Tesla teamed up with a number of universities to launch a new car training program called TeslaSTART, which aims to train the next generation of electric car technicians.

Up to now, Tesla has recruited many technicians from other car manufacturers, not Tesla's own culture, and most of these people had not been in contact with electric cars before joining Tesla. Internal combustion engine cars are more familiar.

Some of the originals of electric vehicles are not much different from traditional gasoline vehicles. However, the powertrain of electric vehicles is quite different from that of gasoline vehicles. Therefore, even experienced automotive technicians need to receive long training to master this technology. Slabro has been training its internal technical staff in all over 100 service centers around the world.

Tesla is now joining forces with universities to provide students with skills training. After completing the training, these students can join Tesla to work.

A Tesla spokesperson said: 'We will cooperate with some of the best automotive technology education projects in the United States, train students in electric vehicle technology, and provide these students with opportunities to work in Tesla. Graduation Participants will receive a full-time job, a skills certificate and the necessary skills to succeed in the evolving electric vehicle industry.

This training program lasts 12 weeks. Tesla has already started the project at the Piedmont Center Community College in Charlotte, North Carolina. The first 13 students will graduate next week. Tesla is also in California. Whittier City Ruier Hongdu Community College started training.

After completion of the training, Tesla will provide work for graduating students. The work sites are located in Tesla Service Centers across North America. Tesla's official website shows that the company currently has more than 150 customer service technician job vacancies.

The following are the requirements of Tesla's START student. Only students who meet these requirements can sign up for this training program:

Tesla is currently receiving applications on the company's official website.

In addition to Tesla, other car manufacturers have also launched similar training programs to train their own technicians. However, for young people, the Tesla brand is undoubtedly more attractive.

Some technicians who had worked at Tesla stated that their work would be extremely busy sometimes. The work experience at Tesla was totally different from that of other car manufacturers. Electric cars need not change oil, filter, Spark plugs also do not have to detect exhaust emissions. However, because Tesla Motors has a large number of networking features, it uses advanced tools for maintenance and monitoring.

From the perspective of Tesla, it is a wise move to launch such a training project. This project will enable them to acquire employees with professional skills to meet the demands of growth.
