Recently, the project “Research on Engineering Technology for Integrated Electric Propulsion System of Vessels” led by the 72nd Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (SINOPHARM) has passed the review and acceptance by experts.
The project has broken through the series design of marine frequency converters and the serialization design of the propulsion motors, insulation, cooling and other key technologies. It has developed the core equipment for low-voltage, medium-voltage two-series marine electric propulsion systems, and has obtained CCS. ) The product type approval certificate enables China's first-time availability of marine frequency converters and the promotion of bulk supply of key equipment for electric propulsion systems such as electric motors. The results of this project have been researched in vessels, dredgers, crane vessels, and wind power installation vessels. A variety of types of ships on the performance of nearly 30 sets of real ship, has a good industrial prospects.
In the next step, we will continue to carry out research on low-voltage ship MW-class DC grid electric propulsion systems, 5 MW class high power density permanent magnet electric propulsion systems, and zero-emission marine power systems with hundreds of kilowatts of fuel cells, to further improve our country’s Innovative capacity and technological level in the field of marine electric propulsion.
