Chris Hook, a 'Veteran' who has served in ATI/AMD for 17 years, announced his departure on personal Facebook.
Hook's final title stays at AMD’s global director of product marketing , This is the post that was just promoted in October last year. Before that, he was senior director of global marketing and public relations for the RTG graphics division.
The resume shows that Hook joined ATI in 2001 (in his 20s at the time) and has since been working for the Red camp. The main achievement is to make Radeon a brand and increase the market share of graphics cards from 10% to the bottom. It is now more than 30%.
Hook revealed in his personal letter that he will join the new company at the end of April and find a new position.
Subsequently, AMD confirmed the news of the departure of Hook, and appointed Sasa Marinkovic, the marketing director of Radeon Software Division, to take over.
According to TPU reports, some media speculated that Hook will follow the lead and close-knit Raja Koduri steps to Intel, and continues to work on the latter's newly established Core and Visual Computing group, helping to build and promote Intel's future graphics products.
