Apple announced this morning that it has reached all the company's facilities - including all data centers, office space and outlets in 43 countries - all using renewable energy. Apple also mentioned that nine more suppliers have recently pledged Renewable energy for all facilities, such as wind and solar energy. The number of suppliers to achieve this goal will reach 23.
Lisa Jackson, senior vice president of Apple Environment, said, 'Our production facilities no longer consume more energy. We see the benefits of the increasingly competitive clean energy market.'
There are many renewable energy projects that supply power to apple facilities, such as large-scale wind farms in the United States and hundreds of rooftop solar systems in Singapore and Singapore. Apple also urges utilities to purchase renewable energy to help promote Apple's operations.
Encouraging suppliers to follow 100% renewable energy is Apple's next goal. Jackson said that those suppliers who promise to use more clean energy know that they will have more advantages in the competition for Apple's business.
Jackson mentioned, "We made it clear that over time this will no longer be a wish list, but more will be a demand.
