China Resources Microelectronics and Chongqing Economy and Information Commission sign a power semiconductor base project investment agreement

On the 3rd of April, China Resources Microelectronics signed the investment agreement of China Resources Microelectronics power semiconductor base project with the Chongqing Municipal Economic and Information Technology Commission and the Xiyong Company. Wu Chuorong, standing vice mayor of the Municipal Party Committee, executive vice chairman of China Resources Microelectronics Chen Nanxiang, General Manager of Chongqing Co., Ltd. Li Hong, Xiyong Chairman Nie Hongyan, Deputy Director of Municipal Economic and Information Committee Zhou Qing, etc. attended the meeting. At the symposium, general manager Li Hong introduced the achievements made by the Chongqing company in the first quarter of the production and operation, and the main work in the next phase. Chen Nanxiang, executive deputy chairman, pointed out that China Resources Microelectronics (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. will establish a national power semiconductor R&D. The center will build the largest power semiconductor manufacturing center in China, and improve the upstream and downstream industrial chains to form a complete industrial chain from raw material manufacturing, IC design to packaging testing.

Mayor Wu emphasized that China Resources Microelectronics, as the only pure state-owned enterprise in China, has a complete industrial chain, and has realized independent product design and controllable microelectronics enterprises. It is a company strongly supported by Chongqing Municipality; the municipal government, especially the municipal government Commission, Xiyong Company and other related parties will further support Chongqing companies to become bigger and stronger, and to promote the upgrading of Chongqing IC industry base.
