Facebook temporarily blocked Canadian company AggregateIQ | leaked due to user data

According to Reuters, Facebook said on Friday that it has temporarily blocked the Canadian political consultancy AggregateIQ. There have been reports that the company acquired Facebook users' personal data in inappropriate ways.

Britain’s political consultancy Cambridge Analytica has faced tremendous pressure after Facebook’s massive user data was inappropriately captured.

Christopher Wylie, who once worked at Cambridge Analytica, said that the company had worked with Canadian company AggregateIQ.

Facebook stated in a statement: “Recently there have been reports that AggregateIQ may be associated with SCL (Strategic Communication Laboratories) and may have acquired Facebook user data in an inappropriate manner. SCL is a government, military contract contractor and is the parent company of Cambridge Analytica.
