Xiaomi said that it will also cooperate with Foxconn to open the first surface mount factory for PCB board assembly.
It is understood that in 2015 Xiaomi announced the opening of its domestic production in India. In the same year, Foxconn opened a first factory. After that, it established a second mobile phone factory and the first mobile power plant in 2017. To date, Xiaomi has been in India. More than 95% of mobile phones sold are produced in India.
The mill's three new factories are still cooperating with Foxconn, located in the industrial parks of Seri and Andhra Pradesh in India, and in the new industrial park in the town of Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu. It covers an area of 180 acres. The existing factory employs more than 10,000 employees, of which more than 95 percent are women. In addition, all assembly work is done by female employees. The new factory will allow the production capacity to continue to increase.
