EU issues consumer warnings on Chinese-made 'Tasso' brand plastic dolls

On January 5, 2018, the European Commission's non-food rapid warning system issued a consumer warning on the Chinese-made 'Tasso' brand plastic doll (early warning number: A12/1866/17). The country notified in this case was Poland. The product is a plastic doll, cardboard blister packaging. Product model / style is art.#398Q-9. The bar code is 5901002004483(EAN). The OECD Portal Category is 86000000-Toys/Games (toy /game).

The plastic material of the doll's head contains di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (measured by weight as 26.4%). Such ingredients may harm children's health and damage the reproductive system. According to EU REACH regulations, all toys and child care products are prohibited to contain di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP).

At present, importers have taken delisting measures for the above products.

To this end, China Trade Relief Information Network recommends that domestic production and exporting enterprises give high priority to this.
