Apple's new patent: AR display traffic information on the windshield

In recent weeks, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has published a number of patents for VR/AR technology used in self-driving cars, dramatically improving the interior of the car and the interior environment of the car, bringing more pleasure to the occupants. In the patent, Apple outlined the future development environment for us. We used augmented reality technology on the front windshield to provide relevant information including navigation routes, nearby attractions and interesting places, local customs, etc.

According to the patent description, this AR system will collect data from sensors monitored by LIDAR and attach pre-produced 3D caption information to the current road environment to provide passengers and drivers with richer information content. In terms of the sketches, the AR system can display current roads, driving routes, distant mountains, and other 3D mountains.

In rainy days, foggy days, snow days, etc., where driving vision is limited, vehicle sensors can more accurately and promptly grasp the road environment outside the vehicle, thereby greatly improving driving safety. Existing cloud data provide the most user travel experience. a good driving route and inform the user about important information before deciding on the road.
