OLED Panels for Powered Vehicles? Toyota's 500 billion Yen Investment in JDI

The automotive OLED panel market is now getting hotter and hotter. Many high-end models are equipped with OLED display panels, including dashboards, taillights, and in-vehicle displays. According to foreign media reports, Toyota, a subsidiary of the Toyota Group, Inc. Toyota Tsusho plans to invest JPY 20 billion in Japan Display Display (JDI) Group Co., Japan's OLED panel developer JOLED.

At the same time, Denso, a major automotive components manufacturer of the same Toyota Group, also plans to invest JPY 30 billion in JOLED. After Toyota Tsusho joins in the investment, Toyota Group's overall contribution to JOLED will reach 50 billion Yen.

Japan's OLED panel developer JOLED indicated that it will increase its capital by 100 billion yen in the fall of last year. Under the support of Toyota Group, JOLED will accelerate the development of automotive OLED panels.
