According to information from Taiwan media citing people familiar with the matter, HTC will release the new flagship HTC U12+ earlier this month. The reason why this time was chosen is to avoid major competitors such as Samsung, Sony, Xiaomi, OPPO, and then the flagship models of these manufacturers. It has been on the market for a while. At the same time, the source also stated that U12+ will be the only high-end model introduced by HTC this year. This strategy aims to extend the sales cycle of U12+.
In terms of configuration, sources said that the aircraft will use a 6-inch screen, because now consumers prefer the large screen. U12+ will be equipped with Qualcomm's most advanced Opteron 845 mobile platform, supplemented by 6GB of memory and 64GB/128GB of body storage, built-in 3420mAh capacity battery.
In terms of photographing, the U12+ is expected to be rear-mounted with 12 megapixels and 16 megapixels, and the front-end 8 megapixels will be expected to become the strongest HTC camera phone. In addition, the U12+ will still support the 'Edge Sense' frame touch function. Users can squeeze borders to open camera, social software and other shortcuts.
Recently, HTC released its 2017 financial report. According to the report, HTC suffered a loss of 16.9 billion Taiwanese dollars (about 3.64 billion yuan) last year, the highest since the listing in 2002.
