On March 22, the launch of the National Demonstration Scientific Instrument Development Project 'The Detonation Driven Super High Speed Sorghum Shock Wind Tunnel' was held at the Institute of Mechanics, Huairou Park. Xie Xincheng, Deputy Director of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and Meng Qingguo, Deputy Director of the Department of Mathematical Sciences. Deputy Director of the Faculty of Science Dong Guoxuan, Director of the Department of Mechanics Zhan Shige, Deputy Director of the Bureau of Finance and Economics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Chairman) Zheng Xiaonian, Director of Science and Technology Division Yan Ganhui, Director of the Institute of Mechanics Qin Wei, Deputy Director Yin Ming, and relevant experts and department heads, Nearly 40 people attended the meeting.
Xie Xincheng first congratulated the mechanics for the support of the national major scientific research instrument development project. He pointed out that the JF22 ultra-high-speed wind tunnel project needs continuous exploration to continuously solve difficulties and key issues, and hopes to use this as a basis to further produce high-quality scientific research results. Zheng Xiaonian Thanked to the fund committee and reiterated the management requirements for the project. Qin Wei said that the work of the Institute of Mechanics has been supported by the fund committee. JF series wind tunnels and scientific research results are typical examples. The institute will attach great importance to it. Ensure the development of JF22 ultra-high speed wind tunnel, strive for early results, and give back to the country as soon as possible.
At the meeting, the project leader Jiang Zonglin reported on the project implementation plan, specific work plan, management operation methods, etc. At the same time, the project established the JF22 super-high speed wind tunnel management group, supervision group and security group, respectively, by the fund committee Meng Qingguo, Tian Dongsheng of the Bureau of Finance and Economics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Qin Wei of the Institute of Mechanics acted as the team leader.
The JF22 ultra-high speed wind tunnel will use a flight speed of 3-10km/s to simulate the speed, and build a JF12 recurring wind tunnel (1.5-3km/s) together to construct an experimental platform covering hypersonic and hypervelocity flight above Ma5.
