The survey was conducted in July 2016. The Chamberlain Group of the United States submitted a 337 investigation filing to the US ITC and alleged violations of Certain Access Control Systems And Components Thereof for export/import/sale of the United States. Its patent rights require the United States ITC to issue general exclusion orders (or limited exclusion orders) and prohibitions.
The involved patents US7161319, US7196611 and US7339336, which were searched in incoPat, found that the patents involved were all in valid period and did not apply for patent layout in mainland China.
On August 3, 2016, the US ITC voted to formally initiate the investigation of 337 investigations. Techtronic Industries Co., Ltd. and Et Technology (Wuxi) Co., Ltd. 5.) The five companies in the company were designated as responders. The products involved were door openers such as garage door openers or door openers.
On May 31, 2017, the United States ITC terminated its investigation on patent US7196611; on October 23, it made an infringement of patent US7161319 and there was no preliminary infringement of patent US7339336 (Order No. 36).
On March 23, 2018, the United States ITC made part of the 337 investigation of the final ruling: It was found that the company involved in the case was infringed and involved claims 1-4, 7-12, 15 and 16 of patent US7161319.
