Chairman of Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co., Ltd., Chairman of Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co., Ltd., who is a member of the economic group, visited Vietnam on March 22 (local time) and signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOU) for the establishment of a pilot park for offshore wind power. It is a pilot site for testing the performance of wind turbines prior to the formal construction of wind power stations and testing the power supply and demand conditions.

This is a memorandum of cooperation signed between Doosan Heavy Industries and Vietnam Power Group (EVN) and South Korea’s South East Power Generation Co., Ltd. Doosan Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. will be responsible for the design, purchase and installation (EPC) of wind power equipment, and will provide power generation stations with storage for the production of wind power stations. Electrical equipment (energy storage equipment, ESS).

South Korea's South East Power Generation Station will be responsible for the maintenance of wind power generation equipment together with Doosan Heavy Industries. Vietnam Power Group will be responsible for arranging the construction of wind farms for the pilot park and the use of land for the approval of the project.

Doosan Heavy Industries also signed a memorandum of cooperation with Vietnam First Construction Corporation (CC1) on the development of a wind power park on March 21. CC1 has a 105 MW wind power plant construction right. According to the signed memorandum of cooperation, Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction is expected to The wind power station will be provided by two wind power stations in the Pingshun province in southern Vietnam, which will have the right to build CC1, and will be responsible for the maintenance and warranty of the equipment.

Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction said that 'the Vietnam wind power market is the market with the greatest growth potential in Southeast Asia'. Because the Vietnamese government plans to increase the total amount of wind power to the present by 2030 (total 180 MW, 60 3 MW Grade wind power station) 10 times or more (total 6,000 MW, 2000 wind power stations).

Doosan Heavy Industries said that the 'Vietnam government plans to expand Vietnam's wind power market from the current 700 billion won to 24 trillion won'.

This is the first time that Doosan Heavy Industries has entered the foreign wind power market. In 2011, Doosan Heavy Industries Co., Ltd., which developed 3 megawatts of wind power equipment, owns pure domestic wind turbine manufacturing technology. The largest wind power park built in South Korea last September, Jeju The island's Miluo offshore wind park (see photo) has also been successfully completed.

Based on technological capabilities, Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction has been exploring ways to enter the foreign wind power market. However, due to the large gap between the domestic wind power infrastructure in Korea and the developed countries, foreign buyers have never chosen Doosan Heavy Industries.

Doosan Heavy Industry believes that 'Because of the company's 24 years of experience in entering the Vietnam market, we can successfully enter the foreign wind power market this time.' In fact, Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction has established a joint venture company (HANVICO) with the Vietnamese state-owned company in 1995. Vietnam Market. Doosan Heavy Industries hopes to 'develop Vietnam's overseas market as the starting point and expand the ecological landscape of the domestic wind power manufacturing industry'.
