In Chinaplas 2018, Swiss thermoforming machine manufacturer WM Thermoforming Machines ("WM", booth: 2D-31) will showcase a groundbreaking thermoforming machine with extremely stable operation. The machine is a high speed thermoforming machine called 'TWIST 700'.
At the show, the TWIST 700 will be equipped with an 18-cavity mold, using a 1.7mm thick PET roll, to thermoform a 24oz cup.
The WM machine learning system (Machine Learning System, abbreviated as 'MLS') ensures complete synchronization of the TWIST 700 and MSv 7 precision palletizers and monitors them online.
The MLS system consists of two functional packages that allow the user to fully control the operation:
● MAS, Multi-Axis Synchronization in motion control, allows the operator to set the speed and stroke of the machine simply by entering a few parameters. Using these parameters, the MAS system can Synchronize the operation of the machine with the stacking operation to ensure perfect motion control.
● TPM, thermoforming process monitoring (Thermoforming Process Monitoring), stores the most important processing parameters for each cycle and displays them to the operator to compare the effective parameters during operation to obtain the optimal parameters.

● The lower tilting platen can be moved without the need of a mechanical cam. It can be rotated by 75°. It is guided by a square linear guide and reduces vibration.

● On the top, the lower platen has an interface designed to assemble most existing molds.
