Ryzen 7 2700X performance sneaky: full victory over the old flagship

Although AMD's second-generation Ruilong Ryzen 2000 series has not yet officially released, but the French magazine CPC Hardware can not help but jumped out, ahead of the announcement of the new flagship Ryzen 7 2700X and mainstream model Ryzen 5 2600X part of the score.

First of all, it is worth mentioning that this test board is based on a low-end A320. It does not support XFR2 advanced spread spectrum acceleration, but it is said that even if it is changed to X470, the actual performance will not be too great.

There are many benchmark performance and game performance test items, and the specific scores for each item are not separately announced. Only comprehensive scores are given.

Benchmarks include HEVC/H264 video transcoding, mathematical calculations, POV-Ray, Blender, 3DSMax, Corona six items, Integrated Ryzen 7 2700X exceeds the previous generation flagship Ryzen 7 1800X about 9%, while leading the Core i7-8700K about 10%, if compared to Ryzen 7 1700X leading margin reached 14%.

Compared with 1600X, the 2600X is up 9%, and it is already approaching 1700.

The game test included eight projects. The Ryzen 7 2700X was about 3% higher than the old flagship, and the 2600X was also over 1800X. However, there was still some gap between the Intel and the Intel side. Both were lower than the i5-8400, lower than the i7-8700K. Up to 12.5%.

Ryzen's second-generation memory support improved to DDR4-2933, and the delay was improved. The actual measurement was effective. 2700X with this frequency has been reduced by more than 15% compared to 1800X DDR4-2666 However, it is still a lot higher than the i7-8700K DDR4-2666.

DDR4-2400 memory frequency, Ryzen's second-generation and third-level caches have also been improved by 28% and 13%, respectively, and memory latency has decreased by 7%.

The acceleration of Ryzen's second generation is even more forceful. The 2700X single-core can achieve a maximum of 4.3 GHz. With the increase of the core, the number of cores can be reduced to 4 GHz even though the six cores are operating. The eight cores are all 3.9 GHz.

The 1800X can only go up to 4 GHz in single core and once it reaches two cores it will have 3.7 GHz until eight cores.

The 2700X's full-load power consumption increases significantly, which is 10% higher than that of the 1800X. , After all, the thermal design power consumption was increased from 95W to 105W, but it decreased a little during standby, which proves that the process and architecture are more mature.

The 2600X is similar to the 1600X, which increases the power consumption by 20% at full load.
